Precious

The moments that stood out to me the most through out the movie is when precious was being beaten by her mother. It's also amazing how she is only sixteen years old and has gone through alot of trouble. She keept going on in life not only for herself but for her kids. Claireece Precious Jones was sexually abused by her father and her mother only hold hate toward her for "stealing her man". It really made me feel hate and sorrow because I can't understand how a mother would let someone touch her daughter that way. The movie also made me look things differently because their are people out there that have no education and people who do don't really take advantage of that. Their are also kids that have support from their parents and their are ones that are unfortunated and have parents that only give them their back and really don't do anything to support them. This movie inspired me to go on through life no matter what because if you really want something you will but all your heart and mind to reach your goals.

Should marine mammals be kept in captivity??

Have you ever wonder how it feels to be in a place were you don't want to be?Were you now that thats not your home? Well imagen how marine mammals feel when they are kept in captivity. Were these wonderful creatures are trained to entertain the people. When they are being seperated from their family and probaly never see them again.

In my personal opinion I think that marine mammals should not be kept in captivity because we are taking their freedom away. Keeping them in a large tanks doesnt give them the freedom they need. Animals like to swim around and swim deeper than a large tank. For example, in Sea World you see shamu (killer whale) doing tricks and splashing people around. In the real world you don't see killer whales jumping around doing tricks.

One reason why I think that marine mammals should not be kept on captivity is because they were adapted to the ocean. They were meant to be their in their" home". For example, humans were meant to be on land, as monkeys were meant to be on trees. Marine mammals were not to be taken out of their homes. It's were they were adapted to live in.

Another reason would be that marine mammals get more risk of transmiting diseases because of the human interaction. People say that they are kept on captivity because of "scientific" purposes but is Sea World a scientific thing? People don't really go their to learn they go to watch the Shamu show or the seals. They really don't get any education from it . I think that scientist should study these marine mammals in their natural home not in a large tank.

In conclusion I don't agree with marine mammals being kept on captivity because they are away from home and seperated from their pods. They need to be in their natural habitat.
